Ill. Gov. Pat Quinn.

Gov. Pat Quinn has announced two business agreements between Chinese and American companies.

Quinn was in Beijing during an eight-day trade mission Monday.

He says China-based Goldwind plans to build a $200 million wind farm in Lee County in north-central Illinois. Construction on the Shady Oaks project begins this fall.

The project is expected to provide enough electricity to power about 25,000 homes. It will create more than 100 construction and about a dozen permanent jobs.

The second deal involves Decatur-based agriculture giant Archer Daniels Midland Co. and a Chinese soy products manufacturer.

ADM will sell the company 180,000 metric tons of soybeans by December 2012. China is the largest market for Illinois soybeans.

The trip is Quinn's first visit to China and includes stops in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
