St. Louis – William Roberti spent part of his last day as St. Louis' acting school superintendent by highlighting the accomplishments of the past year, and handing the reins to his successors.

Roberti delivered his final report in a north St. Louis warehouse, a site chosen to emphasize his team's progress in revamping the district's inefficient textbook tracking program.

Roberti spoke of other improvements as well, and he expressed his confidence in incoming interim superintendent Floyd Crues and officials Harry Rich and Manny Silva.

"This is about taking hold of the system and continuing to operate it in the way that we set it up," Roberti said. "And I firmly believe that Floyd, Harry and Manny, who are the three leaders right now from an academic, financial and operating point of view, will do that."

Floyd Crues will take over as acting superintendent Thursday.
