Severe weather hits Missouri
Previously, parts of the St. Louis Public Radio listening area were under a tornado watch. This tornado watch has now been lifted.

Joplin, Mo. was also hit particularly hard from this round of tornadoes and storms. Fatalities have been confirmed.

Update at 10:10 p.m.: Parts of listening area now under tornado watch reduced to Jefferson County in Mo. and Madison, Monroe and St. Clair Counties in Ill. until 4 a.m. Monday (May 23).
Update at 8:37 p.m.: The entire listening area is now under a tornado watch until 4 a.m. Monday (May 23).
Update at 8:21 p.m.: A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for St. Louis, Madison (Ill.), St. Charles Counties until 9 p.m.
Update at 7:56 p.m.: A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Franklin, Lincoln, St. Charles & Warren Cos. in Missouri until 8:30 p.m. THIS WILL EXPIRE AT 8:30 p.m. (Updated 8:28 p.m.)
Update at 7:30 p.m.: A tornado warning has been issued for Lincoln Co. in Missouri in effect until 8:15 p.m. THIS WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 8:15 p.m. (updated 8:13 p.m.)
Update at 7:18 p.m.: The tornado warning issued for extreme N.W. Franklin Co. and N.W. Warren Co. in Missouri has been extended until 8 p.m.
Update at 7:09 p.m.: A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for extreme N.W. Franklin Co. & N.W. Warren Co. until 7:45 p.m.
Update at 6:32 p.m.: A Tornado Warning has been issued for N.W. Franklin Co. & West Central Warren Co. until 7:15 p.m.
Update at 6:15 p.m.: The severe thunderstorm warning for Northern Warren County in Missouri extended until 7 p.m.
Update at 5:42 p.m.: A Tornado Warning is now in effect until 6:15 p.m. for Western St. Charles County. THIS WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 6:15 p.m. (updated at 6:09 p.m.)
Update at 5:08 p.m.: A Tornado Warning now in effect until 6 p.m. for extreme NW Franklin County in Missouri and Central Warren County in Missouri.
