ST. LOUIS – At 8 p-m on Friday, the entire westbound Boone Bridge will be shut down so some necessary maintenance work can be done. That will affect those heading to the University of Missouri's home football game on Saturday. But Mo-Dot engineer Ed Hassinger said that they're running out of time to get this work done during this construction season .
"As the days get shorter, the temperatures go down there's less types of work we can do and there's only a few of those weekends left," Hassinger said. "So I would say from now through November is going to be where we're really going to make some tracks."
Downtown, two lanes of eastbound I-64 will be closed this weekend from 22nd street to the Poplar Street Bridge. And the ramp from northbound I-55 to the bridge will also be shut down.
