Snow Blankets Much of Missouri - Again

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis, MO – Light snow continues to fall throughout much of central and eastern Missouri today as the state is hit by its third winter storm in less than a month.

Hannibal and Columbia report six inches of snow. Vandalia and Palmyra have seven inches.

St. Louis has five inches, an amount that often paralyzes the Gateway City. But the highway patrol reports few accidents, and
flights at Lambert Airport are generally running on schedule.

A spokesman for the highway patrol says it appears that motorists are learning from experience. Heavy snow also fell on
December fourth and Christmas Eve.
