St. Louis, MO – Some locked out grocery store workers have filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board. They say their union, the United Food and Commercial Workers, didn't hold a fair strike vote because IDs weren't properly checked at the vote and not everyone understood the nature of a strike.

The strike against Schnuck's, Dierberg's, and Shop & Save is a week old. Union President Bob Kelley suggests the store chains are behind the complaint, saying in a statement "Once again we see the strong arm of the supermarkets in charges filed."

Kelleys says union members had plenty of warning and information about a strike, including mailed notices and in-person visits to stores by union officials.

Store officials have said the offer that was rejected was their best and final one. Talks have not resumed.
