St. Louis, MO – St. Louis city alderwoman Colleen Sondermann died Tuesday.
She was elected to the St. Louis Board of Aldermen in June 2002, replacing her husband James who went to work for St. Louis mayor Francis Slay.
Sondermann had been undergoing treatment for cancer for several months. She was also an office manager for a small medical practice, as well as a cousin of the mayor's wife, Kim Slay.
Sondermann was just 46 and is survived by her husband and three children.
She represented the 23rd ward, which includes parts of the Clifton Heights, Lindenwood Park, Ellendale, and North Hampton neighborhoods.
