St. Louis Man Charged in Death of Children

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis – A St. Louis man was charged with two counts of first-degree murder Tuesday.

Police say Anthony Moore allegedly suffocated his two toddlers on a muddy bank of the Mississippi River in St. Louis Monday.

Assistant St. Louis Circuit Attorney Ed Postawko says bond was set at $3 million.

Two-year-old Toni Moore and her ten-month-old half-brother, Kanya Anderson were killed.

Police say the children had the same father but different mothers.

Their 25-year-old father is under psychiatric observation.

The toddlers were found Monday afternoon next to their father's car at North Riverfront Park, not far from the Chain of Rocks Bridge.

Police arrested Moore a short time later.
