St. Louis, MO – A man who helped build the Edward Jones Dome, Savvis Center, and the Science Center has died.
Gabriel Alberici ran the Alberici Construction Company, which his father started in 1918. The company also built the Poplar Street Bridge and the Galleria. Alberici remained active at the firm until 1999. He was 93.
Born in 1909 and raised in Wellston, Alberici began as a welder and joined the firm in 1928 while attending Washington University's engineering school. He became president after his father's death in 1940.
