St. Louis Symphony to make return tour of California

In addition to their tour of Europe in the 2012-2013 season, the St. Louis Symphony will also be making a series of stops in The Golden State.

The Symphony announced their California tour today, which will involve several community concerts, coachings with K-12 students, a side-by-side rehearsal with the UC-Davis Symphony Orchestra and a performance at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts.

Performances will also be held at venues in Costa Mesa, Palm Desert and Santa Barbara. The Symphony's principal flute, Mark Sparks, will perform the Rouse Flute Concerto at the other venues.

Here are the programs for the California tour:

  • Sunday, March 17, 2013-UC-Davis (Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts)

BERG:  Violin Concerto

BEETHOVEN:  Symphony No. 2
