St. Louis – Construction of the new Cardinals' baseball stadium continues on schedule and on budget, but there's still no company name attached to it.

The new $346-million stadium that is currently under construction just south of Busch Stadium downtown is expected to open in time for the 2006 season.

Cardinals' team President Mark Lamping says negotiations continue on the naming rights for the new facility.

"We're talking to a number of companies, both local and outside the St. Louis area," Lamping said. "We expect to have an agreement in place before the start of next season, nothing imminent right now."

A published report in the St. Louis Business Journal quotes several experts as saying the stadium's naming rights could be worth $3 million to $5 million annually over 15 to 20 years.
