STLPR welcomes ... Eli Chen to the environment & science beat

What's your name?

Eli Chen

Eli's desk area is the showcase for her collection of shot glasses featuring all of the animals different nations have sent into space.

Where do you consider your hometown to be?

Hoffman, Estates, IL

What are you doing for us here at STLPR?

I'm the new environment and science reporter.

Care to share a piece of audio or story you're proud of? What's in store for our listeners and web readers?

What's one thing you'd like to know about St. Louis?

I live right by the very tall and strange Compton Reservoir water tower. Why does it look the way it does?

What's a most treasured possession that you have at your desk?

My special shot glasses featuring animal space pioneers: before humans were comfortable with going into space, we launched our pets to test the waters and now they are remembered in shot glass form.
