Tasmin Little Plays Elgar With The St. Louis Symphony

Mary Edwards

British violinist Tasmin Little was the soloist in Elgar’s Violin Concerto in B minor, Op. 61 with the St. Louis Symphony under the direction of guest conductor Sir Andrew Davis in concerts on March 1 and 2 in Powell Hall.  On Thursday, February 28, Little came to St. Louis Public Radio to record an interview for the intermission of STLPR’s live broadcast of the March 2 concert.

St. Louis Symphony Publicist and External Affairs Manager Eddie Silva talked to Little about how she came to play the violin, her teachers and mentors, Elgar’s Violin Concerto and her Naked Violin Project.  An abridged version of the interview was heard during the broadcast, but the complete conversation can be heard here.

Mary Edwards is a producer for St. Louis Public Radio's broadcast program, "St. Louis Symphony."
