St. Louis, MO – Police have arrested three men in connection with the shooting death of a security guard at a St. Louis bank during a would-be robbery.
Authorities say Robert Bolden and Corteze Edwards are accused of first-degree murder, attempted armed robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action. Bolden allegedly did the shooting.
A third suspect, a teenager, is in custody.
Police say the men planned to rob a Bank of America branch, but instead scuffled with and shot 25-year old Nathan Ley twice in the face. Police Chief Joe Mokwa called Ley a hero for giving his life to keep the robbers from getting inside the bank.
