Tribute To Dave Brubeck and Jazz From Left Coast Clubs-Part 5

The Jazz Unlimited show for December 16, 2012 will have a tribute to the late pianist, composer Dave Brubeck in the first hour and "Jazz from Left Coast Clubs, Part 5" in the second and third hours. The Brubeck Tribute will include live versions of "Blue Rhondo A La Turk" and "Take 5," along with collaborations with Gerry Mulligan and Louis Armstrong and a duet between Dave and his long-time saxophonist Paul Desmond. The music in the second and third hours will feature Carmen McRae, the Ray Brown Trio, Thelonious Monk, Gene Ammons and Richard "Groove" Holmes, Ornette Coleman, Gene Harris and the Phillip Morris All-Stars, pianist Paul Moer, St. Louisan Clark Terry, Chet Baker and the big bands of Bob Florence, Terry Gibbs and Buddy Rich.
