Warner Out With Another Broken Hand Bone

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis, MO – X-rays on Rams quarterback Kurt Warner yesterday revealed a new fracture in his right hand, meaning he'll sit out this weekend against Kansas City.

Warner was out for almost two months because of a broken little finger in his throwing hand. And he was hurt again in Sunday's 10-3 loss at Philadelphia.

Yesterday's X-rays showed he has a hairline fracture in the right hand, keeping him out for two to three weeks.

The injury is at the base of the hand and not related to the earlier broken finger. Rams coach Coach Mike Martz said Jamie Martin will start at quarterback against Kansas City this weekend.

Marc Bulger had led the Rams to five straight victories while Warner was out. But now he's troubled with a sprained index finger.
