St. Louis – Mosquitoes infected with the West Nile virus have been found in St. Louis County.
It's the earliest discovery of the virus in the area in the past several years.
Last year, the first mosquitoes testing positive were found on June 30.
The county's Department of Health collected the mosquitoes in the Spanish Lake area.
