Former St. Louis County Planning Commission chair indicted

The former chairman of the St. Louis County Planning Commission has been indicted on a charge of federal bank fraud, according to a press release from the Eastern District of Missouri division of the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Douglas Morgan, 65, from Chesterfield, could face a maximum penalty of up to 30 years in prison and/or fines up to $1,000,000 if convicted.

Chesterfield, other St. Louis areas named in Mo. "Top Ten Towns" list

"The Awakening," a sculpture by J. Seward Johnson, in Chesterfield, Mo. Chesterfield has been designated "No. 2" on Missouri Life magazine's "Top Ten Towns" in Missouri list.

Chesterfield has been named among the top-ten towns in the state by Missouri Life magazine.

Joplin was listed as the number one town, and was closely followed by Chesterfield, which ranked second.
