Missouri college savings plan becomes cheaper for participants

Missouri's college savings plan will now have lower administrative costs.

At a press conference at the University of Missouri St. Louis today, Missouri State Treasurer Clint Zweifel announced a new five-year management agreement with Upromise Investments and Vanguard that will decrease the cost of the MOST 529 plan by 44 percent. The partnership is estimated to save Missourians $18.5 million.

Two St. Louis residents get unclaimed property returns of over $100K

Two individuals and one business in the St. Louis area are in the money today.

State Treasurer Clint Zweifel announced he has returned $139,000 and $122,000 in unclaimed property.

Places for People breaks ground on new building for chronically homeless

The non-profit organization Places for People broke ground today on a 23 unit apartment building that will provide housing for the chronically homeless in St. Louis. Organizers say it's Missouri's first affordable development funded by the state's housing commission.
