Tests near steam pipe rupture show no asbestos

The St. Louis city health department says tests from buildings around the site of a ruptured steam pipe have come back negative for asbestos.

The 20-inch pipe ruptured last Thursday morning, sending a plume of steam into the downtown air, along with possible asbestos.

St. Charles County Republicans get a do-over for a botched presidential caucus with a gathering Tuesday night.

The March 17 caucus in St. Peters descended into chaos amid rules disputes and claims of favoritism, and adjourned with police arresting two people. No delegates were selected.

After the first attempt at a GOP caucus in St. Peters was shut down following a dispute, the Missouri Republican Party has announced a new caucus for St. Charles County.

St. Charles County caucus likely to be rescheduled

The Republican caucus in St. Charles County is likely to be rescheduled after a weekend dispute forced the caucus to be shut down.

The caucus in St. Peters on Saturday ended when tension flared between members of the crowd and the local Republican activists who were running it. St. Charles County was to have been among the biggest prizes in Missouri. The meeting adjourned without awarding delegates.
