Dogtown St. Pat's Parade To Ban Coolers For First Time In Event's History

The Ancient Order of Hibernians' annual St. Patrick's Day Parade makes its way through Dogtown in 2010. Organizers have announced a ban on outside coolers at this year's event.

Thinking of bringing your cooler to the St. Patrick's Day parade in Dogtown this year? Don't.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Clayton-Tamm Neighborhood Association, and the Dogtown Business Merchants Association announced today an outright ban on coolers being brought into the annual event. It's the first time such a ban has been implemented in the parade's 29-year history.

Upcoming St. Louis parade to welcome home Iraq War veterans

A parade will be held in downtown St. Louis on Saturday honoring the men and women that served in Iraq.

The idea for the parade was started by two St. Charles men, Craig Schneider and Tom Applebaum. They approached the veterans group, The Mission Continues, with the idea and they agreed to partner with them to make the parade happen.

Hundreds of thousands attend Cardinals victory parade, rally

The Cardinals World Series victory parade drew fans of all ages on Oct. 30, 2011.

Hundreds of thousands of fans gathered in downtown St. Louis on Sunday to celebrate their World Series champs at a Cardinal victory parade and rally.

Cloudy skies and the occasional drizzle didn’t discourage the fans, who thronged the parade route along Market Street.

They cheered and snapped pictures as the Budweiser Clydesdales went by, followed by Cardinals team members and marching bands from area high schools.
