While the recent economic cycle has impacted St. Louis positively, St. Louis Regional Chamber president and CEO Joe Reagan says that the long-term strategy around the future of the St. Louis economy lies in inclusion and talent attraction/retention.

“We have a change agenda,” Reagan told St. Louis on the Air host Don Marsh. “We have to make some changes. We have three elements. We have to provide equity and opportunity throughout this region. We can’t afford to leave anyone behind, we shouldn’t leave anybody behind.”

Regions Bank is now offering free financial counseling in north St. Louis County through a partnership with a national non-profit called Operation Hope.

Operation Hope counselor Bonita Williams says it will help anyone who asks improve their credit score, become more financially stable and work towards goals like buying a home or starting a business—no strings attached.

FBI officials in St. Louis suspect that a man who robbed a Regions Bank branch on Friday is the same man responsible for four other bank robberies in the St. Louis area since December.

The robber entered the bank about 9:15 a.m. Friday, approached a teller, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount.

The FBI says the same man may have robbed the same bank on Jan. 31, another Regions Bank branch on Feb. 22, the Southern Commercial Bank on Jan. 12 and First Bank on Dec. 6.
