North St. Louis County residents can weigh in this week on a project to connect the region with a new walking and biking trail.

Officials are in the process of developing the 7.5-mile-long Maline Greenway, which will run from the University of Missouri-St. Louis east to the Mississippi River. The Great Rivers Greenway's Lonnie Boring is the project manager.

"It travels eastward through many communities including Ferguson, Jennings, Moline Acres, unincorporated St. Louis County, the village of Riverview and Bellefontaine Neighbors before it ends in the city of St. Louis," Boring said, "Very near North Riverfront Park and the North Riverfront biking and walking trail."

No date has been set for the completion of the Greenway. Tomorrow's open house on the project will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Bellefontaine Neighbors Recreation Center.
