A small fire at the Fox Theatre this morning caused minor damage and no injuries, but did force the cancelation of the Sunday shows of "Jersey Boys."

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the blaze started around 5 a.m. There's no word yet on a cause.

From a Fox Theatre press release:

A small early morning fire at the Fox Theatre was confined to a mechanical room over the lobby and did not spread further to the auditorium.  There is some minor smoke and water damage to the lobby, and out of concern for the comfort and safety of our patrons, staff, and the cast and crew of JERSEY BOYS, today’s (Sunday, May 15) performances, scheduled for 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., have been canceled.

Individuals who had tickets for the Sunday shows can make exchanges or get refunds starting tomorrow at 10 a.m. by going to the Fox Theatre box office or calling MetroTix (314-534-1111).
