New Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says he won't take no for an answer when it comes to changing the city.
Emanuel delivered a 25 minute speech today after being inaugurated in a downtown Chicago park.
He again spelled out his priorities for Chicago, including better schools, safer streets and a more efficient government.
President Barack Obama's former chief of staff also praised retired Mayor Richard Daley. He called Chicago "reborn" because of Daley's leadership and determination.
Emanuel also thanked Obama for understanding why he had to come home to run for mayor.
Emanuel adds that he won't be patient when it comes to school reform, and he says police alone can't make streets safe. He says neighbors have to help solve and prevent crimes.
