The nearly year-long process to replace University of Missouri System president Gary Forsee is nearing its conclusion.

Interim System president Stephen Owens sent out an email this morning  saying that Tuesday is the day and that the announcement will be made at the Reynolds Alumni Center on the grounds of the System's flagship campus in Columbia at 10 a.m.

The event will also be livestreamed on a website specifically designed for the occasion.

Following the announcement, the newly named president, the 23rd in the System's history, will visit all of the System campuses and will be at the University of Missouri - St. Louis Wednesday.

Forsee stepped down from the position in January to care for his ill wife, Sherry.
