Prosecutors have charged Dana Jones, shown here on this screen capture of hospital security footage, with two felonies for taking his daughter from Cardinal Glennon Hospital on Sunday.

The Illinois father who walked with his daughter out of Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital on Sunday has been charged with two felonies as a result.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's office today charged 53-year-old Dana Jones with endangering the welfare of a child, and removing a child from state custody.

Prosecutors allege that around 2 p.m. Sunday, Jones removed intravenous lines that were providing his 14-year-old daughter Brittany with needed medication and took her from Cardinal Glennon, where she was being treated for complications related to a kidney transplant. St. Louis police say Brittany was admitted to the hospital on Feb. 6, and was placed in the custody of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services after test results indicated she had not been receiving proper care.

Brittany's disappearance prompted authorities to issue a SARAA alert - she was later  found unharmed at a hospital in Milwaukee.
