I-64 lanes closed again this weekend

An icy weather forecast is delaying planned weekend closures on the double-decker portion of I-64 in downtown St. Louis.

MoDOT will again close all westbound lanes on the double-deck structure in downtown St. Louis this weekend.

The ongoing work on the driving surface for Interstate 64 through downtown means lane closures again this weekend.

Starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow, the Missouri Department of Transportation will shut down all westbound lanes of the double-deck structure between Broadway and 21st Street. Two eastbound lanes may also close for safety reasons.

The ramps from 10th and 14th streets to westbound I-64 will remain open. All lanes, except for the farthest left, will re-open by Monday's rush hour.

Get ready for more of these this summer  - this is just the third of seven closures projected for this repair work. A weekend closure at the end of June lasted longer than expected when crews discovered the pavement was in very poor shape.
