Meetings Scheduled For Development Of Areas Around MetroLink Stations

The regional planning agency East-West Gateway Council of Governments is asking the public what it wants to see intransit-oriented development around five MetroLink stations

Starting tonight, East-West Gateway will hold a series of open houses. A complete list of locations is below.

"Communities around MetroLink stations can perhaps better use the land near them, to create places for people to live, to shop, to work, basically create  districts and communities around the various MetroLink stations," said Britt Palmberg a project manager for Design Workshop, which is handling preliminary planning.

Below is a list of MetroLink stations that have been selected. All meetings start at 5:30 p.m., with a presentation at 6 p.m.

Tuesday, February 19 - North Hanley station. Hilton Garden Inn St. Louis Airport, 4450 Evans Place, 63134. Meeting will be in the ballroom.

Wednesday, February 20 - Emerson Park and Jackie Joyner-Kersee stations  - Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center, 101 Jackie Joyner-Kersee Circle, 62204

Thursday, February 21 - Fairview Heights station -***This meeting has been cancelled due to inclement weather. It is rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb 27th at 5:30*** Caseyville Township Senior Center, 10001 Bunkum Road, 62208. Meeting will be in the lower level.
 
Monday, February 25 - Union Station/Civic Center station - St. Louis Development Corporation, 1520 Market St., 63103. The meeting will be in the second floor board room

Tuesday, February 26 - Rock Road station - Pagedale City Hall, 1420 Ferguson Ave., 63133
