St. Louis Man Charged In Killing Of Mother Found In Car

A St. Louis man is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Ebony Jackson, whose body was discovered days after her baby was found abandoned at an apartment complex.

Charges were filed Wednesday against 40-year-old DyanthanyProudie. A probable cause statement says Proudie shot Jackson in the head on Jan. 2.

Three-month-old Donavan Prom was found in an interior hallway of a St. Louis County apartment complex on Jan. 4. He was unharmed.

Jackson's body was found in the trunk of her own car on a desolate St. Louis street on Jan. 8.

Jackson is a former resident of East St. Louis, Ill., who was living in Oklahoma City at the time of her death.

Proudie is jailed and does not yet have an attorney.
