Summer Concerts: Back to Grand Center Intersection or Faust Park food trucks

Grand Center is not only the home of St. Louis Public Radio (shameless plug) but a different approach to the free summer music concert format. As we noted in July, it is hosting music on three nights and only a small part of each night is outdoors.

This Friday is the second of the three Music @ the Intersection sets, and music can be found without cover at The Dark Room, Dooley’s, Vito’s and Lucha; and without a ticket at the Kranzberg, KDHX and Jazz at the Bistro. The evening kicks off in Strauss Park at 5 p.m. with Mathias & the Pirates. The lineup can be found at the Grand Center website.

Another event that strays from the pack-a-picnic-and-head-to-the-park format are the Feast in the Park food truck events. This Friday at Faust Park – from 5-8 p.m. – the scheduled food trucks are Bombay Food Junkies, Juicemasters Fresh Juice and Smoothie Bar, Le Camion Bistro, The Meltdown, MyBigFatGreekTruck, Sarah's Cake Stop, Steak Louie, Steamroller Food Truck, StLouisianaQ, Walk Away Waffles, Wing Nut and Zia's "On The Hill." Music? Maple Jam Band will provide the tunes from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

For the traditional summer concerts:
