This season, Jarvi led the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra concert in November. And, according to a press release, “In his new role, he will serve as the YO’s Music Director and also lead various concerts on the St. Louis Symphony’s schedule, including education and family concerts, community concerts and Live at Powell Hall performances.”

The release quotes Music Director David Robertson as saying of Jarvi, “His unique combination of talent, innovation and inspired, infectious music making will be a delight for the Youth Orchestra and an excellent addition to the St. Louis Symphony family."
