We continue our live broadcasts of the St. Louis Symphony for the 2013-2014 season this weekend, and you can be right there with us from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.

On select Saturday evenings, St. Louis Public Radio broadcasts the Symphony's performance over the air, bringing you a live classical music experience wherever you are.

Here's what's planned for you this weekend:

HARLIN   Rapture
BEETHOVEN   Piano Concerto No. 3
STRAUSS   Ein Heldenleben

Which will feature the following artists:

Stéphane Denève, conductor
Lars Vogt, piano

On September 17, Michigan Radio's Lester Graham talked with 29 year old composer Patrick Harlin, a doctoral student at the University of Michigan, about his work Rapture which opens the St. Louis Symphony concerts on September 27 and 28.

The St. Louis Symphony's Eddie Silva talked with orchestra's new principal trumpet Karin Bliznik. In the conversation with Silva, Bliznik shares her background, her influences, her thoughts on being a leader in the St. Louis Symphony and her impressions of her new home.
