St. Louis’ LouFest Lineup Features OutKast, Cake, Matt And Kim

St. Louis’ LouFesthas unveiled its complete lineup for the Sept. 6-7 music weekend.

Highlights of the Forest Park event include OutKast, Cake, Matt and Kim, Arctic Monkeysand Grouplove (full lineup, below). St. Louis’ Pretty Little Empire will also be on stage, along with area bands Brother Thunder and the MasterBlasters and Old Salt Union.

C3 Presents — an Austin, Tex., company that also runs Chicago’s Lollapalooza and the Austin City Limits Festival — began producing LouFest in 2013. Over the past week or so, festival organizers have revealed 2014's LouFest offerings in a daily game of clues.

C3’s Sarah McGoldrick told St. Louis Public Radio that this year's 40-band Loufest lineup offers a diversity of musical acts.

“We’ll be bringing some hip-hop, we’ll be bringing some indie rock, some great Americana, some alternative country — so a little bit for everybody,” McGoldrick said.

Two-day general admission tickets are available for $95 beginning at 10 a.m., Tuesday morning. Two-day VIP passes cost $350 each. Early-bird passes ($75) are sold out. Children under 12 can attend free.

LouFest was launched in 2009. It drew more than 30,000 people last year. C3 hopes it will eventually achieve the prominence of Lollapalooza, which draws some 70,000 attendees.
