Medicare for All: The Road Forward

Two powerhouse national speakers will explain the impact of the mid-term election results on healthcare reform. Wendell Potter first came to national attention when he testified in Congress about the damage caused by the misinformation campaigns he helped create as VP of Communication for Cigna – before he left Cigna and became an advocate for Medicare for All. Potter will share his insider’s perspective on the state of American healthcare and how we can improve and expand Medicare for us all. Economist Gerald Friedman PhD has drafted single-payer financing plans for ten states and for the entire USA. Economist at UMass, he is widely published on the history of the labor movement, a frequent correspondent on television and other media, and a consultant to labor unions, legislators, and candidates. Professor Friedman will share his insights on the midterm elections and what they suggest for the road forward.
