Juneteenth Concert: The Legend Singers – Negro Spirituals

Juneteenth Concert: The Legend Singers – Negro Spirituals

Music was often what enslaved people turned to when looking for hope, inspiration, or a way to capture passionate feelings. Negro Spirituals are songs created by these Africans who were stolen from their homeland and brought to the United States to be sold into slavery. The Legend Singers was founded to perform and preserve this music and heritage.
