St. Louis Pilot Rescued After Plane Falls Off Carrier

U.S.S. Constellation, Middle East – A pilot from south St. Louis County was aboard a plane that veered off a flight deck in the Middle East yesterday.

Lt. Matt Wilder, of Oakville, was rescued after the plane's unsuccessful landing aboard the U.S.S. Constellation. His parents talked to him by phone Tuesday, saying he's fine.

Wilder is a 1993 graduate of Vianney High School.
