The Stanley Cup will not be making any trips to St. Louis this year.

Vancouver, British Columbia – The Vancouver Canucks completed their first-round comeback Tuesday by downing St. Louis 4-1 in game seven of the Western Conference quarterfinals.

The Canucks took the last three games of the series to earn the right to host Minnesota in the first two games of the conference semis.

Brendan Morrison and Trevor Linden each collected a goal and an assist after teammate Henrik Sedin tied the game in the first period. Linden set up Morrison's game-winner at 7:20 of the second period before Morrison assisted on Markus Naslund's power-play goal about five minutes later.

Linden made it 4-1 by scoring 28 seconds into the final period. Linden had been held without a point in the first six games.

Dan Cloutier made 33 saves in the clincher to post his first playoff series win. He blanked the Blues after Martin Rucinsky scored one minute into the game.
