Atlanta, Ga. – A judge in Atlanta Wednesday ruled that hundreds of people in Missouri who were billed for connections to pornographic Web sites they never requested don't have to pay, or can get refunds.

In May, Missouri and a dozen other states sued New Jersey-based Alyon Technologies and Georgia-based Tel-collect. The lawsuits accused the companies of billing for unordered services and refusing to cancel bills.

Investigators found that the companies were disconnecting consumers from their own Internet service providers and reconnecting them to Alyon's network, without permission. Sites were billed about five dollars a minute.
