St. Louis, MO – The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra wants to join the Metropolitan Zoo-Museum District. That's the district that currently helps fund the St. Louis Zoo, Science Center, Art Museum, History Museum, and Botanical Garden.

The symphony wants the district's board to put the question to voters. The change would raise as much as $8 million a year by taxing property owners four cents for every $100 of property value. A similar effort failed in 1989 by a 3-1 ratio.

Supporters of the effort have a website, which you can visit by clicking
