Ethics Package Headed to Blagojevich

Springfield, Ill. –

For years, members of the Illinois General Assembly discussed ethics. Occasionally, they passed small changes to improve laws that encourage honest government.

Late Thursday night, though, the Illinois Senate joined the Illinois House in passing a measure that supporters are calling the toughest package of good-government laws in the state's history.
