Fort Worth, TX – Amtrak says the Texas Eagle is running with more passengers and is more on time these days.
The Eagles runs from San Antonio, Tex. to Chicago; it stops in St. Louis and Alton, Ill.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports ridership is up 16% on the line from a year ago. Almost 173,000 people rode from last October to the end of June.
And the train ran on-time 62% of the time during those months, compared to just 22% a year ago.
