Carbondale, Ill. – 
Republican U-S Senate Candidate Alan Keyes is introducing himself to Illinois voters.
He's made numerous appearances on national talk shows and on local media as well.
Some say Keyes is too conservative for Illinois; others find him just what the state needs in a Senate candidate.
Illinois Public Radio's Jeff Williams spoke with Mike Lawrence about the campaign. Lawrence runs the Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale and used to be Governor Jim Edgar's Press Secretary.
