St. Louis, MO – Missouri highway officials are looking into the possibility of turning Interstate 70 into a toll road between St. Louis and Kansas City.

That's according to the Post-Dispatch, reports that tolls could run $20 for cars making the round trip and $45 for commercial trucks.

Toll money would pay to rebuild the interstate and expand it to six lanes through the entire state.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says it hopes to have a more detailed study done in two weeks.
