St. Louis, MO – Washington University has banned alcohol at Greek-related activities for the rest of the semester.
University officials gave student leaders of Greek organizations a letter this week, outlining the ban. It says frats and sororities are not to participate in social events with alcohol on or off campus.
Officials say they made the decisions after a series of violations. Two security guards were injured October ninth when they tried to break up a fight on fraternity row. There also have been reports of some fights and property damage.
