Beine Case Goes Before MO Sup. Court Today
By Tom Weber, KWMU
St. Louis, MO – The case of former priest James Beine goes before the Missouri Supreme Court today (Tuesday).
Beine was sentenced to 12 years in prison last year for exposing himself to boys in a restroom where he worked as a counselor.
He claims the law under which he was charged is unconstitutionally vague.
Beine was also convicted on separate charges of having child pornography; that conviction was thrown out last year. He was removed from the priesthood in 1977.
