St. Louis, MO – Francis Slay wants to keep being the Mayor of St. Louis.
He'll formally announce this evening (Monday) what has been expected for some time: That he's going to run for re-election.
Slay's chief of staff, Jeff Rainford, says goals for a second term - if voters give Slay one - include sustainable growth, improving education and the city's riverfront.
St. Louis School Board member Bill Haas, who has run for mayor before, says he also plans to seek the office.
Rumor mills also have a handful of other people considering a run.
The mayor's race will appear on ballots next March and April.
