Belleville, Ill. – John Baricevic stepped down Monday night as Chairman of the St. Clair County (Ill.) Board.
He will soon become a judge in the county.
Vice Chairman Roy Mosely will fill in as chair for about three weeks until Belleville's Mayor Mark Kern is sworn in as the new chairman.
Mosley will be the first black board chairman in St. Clair County history. He thanked Barisevic for the chance to lead, if only for a few weeks.
