St. Louis, MO – The Wolf Sanctuary in St. Louis County is celebrating the birth of three wolf puppies.

It's only the second litter of South American Maned wolves ever born in Missouri, and there are now only 96 of the endangered animals in the U.S.

All three of the newborns are boys.

The Wolf Sanctuary says the maned wolf is more closely related to the fox than the wolf; puppies are born black and gradually grow into their adult color, red.
