Possible Violent Video Game Ban in IL, MO

By Doug Smith, Ill. Public Radio

Macomb, Ill. –

Video games have come a long way since Pac-Man and Pong.

Players can now steal cars and slaughter aliens, which has officials in both Illinois and Missouri considering bans on some sales.

A new proposal in Jefferson City would ban the sale of violent video games to minors.

It's similar to a plan that Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has been pushing for a few months now.

But as Illinois Public Radio's Doug Smith reports, the plan has some lawmakers concerned.
